Lizzie is a recent graduate from Trinity College Dublin, who has a Master’s in Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering. Her summer internship began in June 2023 post her thesis involving solar energy. This is an industry she is keen to progress, in which is made possible at Power Capital. She will be working in the development engineering teams to help ensure sites are sourced and projects evolve.
Jack has recently joined as our Corporate Finance intern. He has just completed a Masters in Renewable Energy and Environmental Finance from the UCD Smurfit Graduate School of Business. He also has a BCOMM (Global Experience) degree from University of Galway. His role involves the development and maintenance of detailed financial models at a project and group level to assist with corporate decision making. He is passionate about renewable energy and is keen to help work towards the Net Zero 2050 target.
John Ohunyeye is a highly skilled professional with expertise in renewable energy and project management. With a strong academic background, John holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, a postgraduate diploma in maritime/offshore engineering, and a master’s degree in civil, structural and environmental engineering from Trinity College Dublin.With valuable industry experience, John has worked in one of Ireland’s leading renewable energy consultancies, where he contributed to innovative projects and gained in-depth knowledge of the renewable energy sector. Currently, John is a valuable member of the Power Capital team, focusing on advancing renewable energy projects in Ireland.John’s passion lies in harnessing the potential of renewable energy sources to drive sustainable development. With a sharp focus on project management, he effectively oversees and executes renewable energy initiatives, ensuring successful outcomes and optimal project performance.
George McAuley joined Power Capital in July 2023 as a Contracts Manager. He is a commercial management professional in the construction industry with over 15 years’ experience working in Ireland, Australia, England and Finland. He has a strong knowledge and experience in leadership , development, procurement, front-end drafting , negotiation, contract formation, change management, dispute resolution and people management in construction. He had been involved in a variety of projects across many sectors, ranging from data centers, pharma, commercial, marine, mining and residential. He had developed specialist knowledge in project contract administration, cost management and people management across the construction industry.
Ola an experienced qualified accountant with over 10 years’ experience in the accounting industry. Ola recently joined the company as a Financial Accountant in April 2023 as part of the Finance team. Ola qualified as with ACCA in 2012 and has since worked in the FMCG industry but focusing mainly in the Renewables sector in the last 4 years. Ola will focus on month and year end accounts and also assist with financial reporting. Having previously worked in the Renewable energy sector, Ola brings a wealth of experience in this area which she has developed a passion and interest for.
Cian joined Power Capital in 2023 and works closely alongside the company founders, private equity shareholders and senior management team. Cian’s role involves developing business plans, implementing budgeting processes and business partnering with key stakeholders. He is a chartered accountant with over 9 years’ experience, having previously worked for PwC for 7 years in asset and wealth management and corporate finance. Most recently, Cian was responsible for financial planning and analysis with a large insurance group.
Kelly is a project manager with over 9 years’ experience in project management and business analyst roles. She is an experienced PRINCE2 practitioner with extensive experience in the electricity sector with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and under budget. Kelly is responsible for project delivery through all phases of the project life cycle.
Dawn is a highly skilled professional in Environmental compliance, auditing, and environmental management. Dawn is responsible for the environmental management of construction contracts, new projects and supporting the planning and delivery team throughout the project lifecycle. She will also be responsible for the companies ESG strategy.
Dawn holds a bachelor’s degree from UCD In Environmental Science, certification from City and Guilds in Environmental Management and is currently studying for a master’s degree in Energy Infrastructure Engineering in TUS. Dawns experience is extremely versatile, having worked both in the field and behind the scenes, always championing best environmental practice. Her professional Experience includes working in both private and public domains, residential development, and public gas and water supplies. She is passionate about environmental best practice and sustainability and is focused on ensuring environmental stewardship is at the forefront of her work.
