Project Manager

John Ohunyeye is a highly skilled professional with expertise in renewable energy and project management. With a strong academic background, John holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, a postgraduate diploma in maritime/offshore engineering, and a master’s degree in civil, structural and environmental engineering from Trinity College Dublin.With valuable industry experience, John has worked in one of Ireland’s leading renewable energy consultancies, where he contributed to innovative projects and gained in-depth knowledge of the renewable energy sector. Currently, John is a valuable member of the Power Capital team, focusing on advancing renewable energy projects in Ireland.John’s passion lies in harnessing the potential of renewable energy sources to drive sustainable development. With a sharp focus on project management, he effectively oversees and executes renewable energy initiatives, ensuring successful outcomes and optimal project performance.

George McAuley
Contracts Manager

George McAuley joined Power Capital in July 2023 as a Contracts Manager. He is a commercial management professional in the construction industry with over 15 years’ experience working in Ireland, Australia, England and Finland.  He has a strong knowledge and experience in leadership , development, procurement, front-end drafting , negotiation, contract formation, change management, dispute resolution and people management in construction. He had been involved in a variety of projects across many sectors, ranging from data centers, pharma, commercial, marine, mining and residential. He had developed specialist knowledge in project contract administration, cost management and people management across the construction industry.

Ola Raji
Financial Accountant

Ola an experienced qualified accountant with over 10 years’ experience in the accounting industry. Ola recently joined the company as a Financial Accountant in April 2023 as part of the Finance team. Ola qualified as with ACCA in 2012 and has since worked in the FMCG industry but focusing mainly in the Renewables sector in the last 4 years.  Ola will focus on month and year end accounts and also assist with financial reporting. Having previously worked in the Renewable energy sector, Ola brings a wealth of experience in this area which she has developed a passion and interest for.

Cian McEneaney
Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

Cian joined Power Capital in 2023 and works closely alongside the company founders, private equity shareholders and senior management team. Cian’s role involves developing business plans, implementing budgeting processes and business partnering with key stakeholders. He is a chartered accountant with over 9 years’ experience, having previously worked for PwC for 7 years in asset and wealth management and corporate finance. Most recently, Cian was responsible for financial planning and analysis with a large insurance group.

Kelly is a project manager with over 9 years’ experience in project management and business analyst roles. She is an experienced PRINCE2 practitioner with extensive experience in the electricity sector with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and under budget. Kelly is responsible for project delivery through all phases of the project life cycle.

Dawn Keegan
Environmental and Sustainability Specialist

Dawn is a skilled professional with a strong focus on ESG and environmental management. Dawn is responsible for leading the company’s ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) strategy. Dawn oversees the environmental management of construction contracts, new projects, and supports the planning and delivery teams across the project lifecycle. However, her primary emphasis lies in driving the organisation’s ESG agenda forward. Her  background encompasses experiences in both private and public sectors, spanning residential development and public utility supplies, offering her a comprehensive understanding of sustainable practices across various domains.

Dawn’s dedication to environmental stewardship and sustainability is unwavering. She champions best practices, ensuring that ESG considerations are integrated into every aspect of the organisation’s operations. Dawn holds a Bachelors degree in Environmental Science from UCD and further Environmental Management certification from City and Guilds.

Senior Accounts Payable Specialist

Karen joins Power Capital as a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist with over 30 years’ in Finance & Payroll. 10 years of which were in the construction and renewable energy sectors, having worked in Gaelectric with windfarm portfolio’s in both the ROI and NI, and with Covanta/Dublin Waste to Energy, during construction stage to the export of electricity to the grid.

Fionnuala Judge
Legal Counsel

Fionnuala is a key member of Power Capital’s legal team. Her focus is on property, and her role as a property lawyer encompasses all stages in the project lifecycle, from planning through to realisation.  Fionnuala is a qualified solicitor with a background in commercial property law. In her previous role Fionnuala advised both landowners and developers in large scale transactions and worked with local authorities and the ESB when securing sites for development.

Shane McNamara
Senior Project Developer

Shane joined Power Capital in October 2023. He has a background in Project Management & Delivery of Transmission Level Grid Connections, Demand Side Response Services and Energy Metering services. He has a BSc in Energy from the University of Limerick.  Shane is involved in the development and delivery of our MV & HV Grid Connections & Generation Facilities. He is passionate about the delivery of large-scale renewable energy projects.

Rômulo Couto
Senior Asset Manager

Rômulo has over 10 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, specialising in utility solar PV O&M management. Graduated as an electrical engineer in Brazil and MBA from Trinity College Dublin, he navigated between project management from conception to delivery and managed production operations 24/7 of power plants ensuring maximum assets’ performance. He trained and headed teams at a fast pace, developing analytical thinking for fast, safe, and assertive technical decisions. Rômulo joined Power Capital for the company asset management development overseeing a growing portfolio of Solar PV Farms, remotely monitoring their performance, and suggesting improvements to implement and optimise O&M interventions.

John Quigley

John joined Power Capital in March 2024 having spent the previous 14 years across the project delivery, customer delivery and asset management divisions of ESB Networks. He has a BEng in Electrical Engineering with 4 years of network planning experience for both demand and renewable generation connections. His first encounter with the renewables industry was back in 2008 where he erected wind turbines on behalf of companies such as Siemens, Vestas and Nordex across Ireland and the UK. John will project manage the grid connections for our portfolio and assist in the screening process of future projects.

Michael O’Neill
Legal Counsel

Michael is a member of Power Capital’s legal team. He is a banking and finance solicitor and has a background in project finance. Michael has extensive experience in negotiating loan facilities and other financing arrangements for companies at key stages of their development. Michael’s role in Power Capital is primarily focused on the legal elements of Power Capital’s financing arrangements, including the negotiation of all finance and security documentation. He is also involved in the legal elements arising over the course of the project lifecycle and is involved the negotiation of other key commercial contracts for Power Capital. Prior to joining Power Capital, Michael worked in the ByrneWallace LLP banking and finance department for over 7 years. He has an advanced diploma in Environmental and Planning law from The Honorable Society of the King’s Inns.

Kevin have joined Power Capital, in April 2024 as a Site Manager. He has 35 years experience in the Construction sector in Ireland,UK,Netherlands and USA Has extensive experience in Effectively managing teams on Substations,Grid Connections, Heavy Civils and Renewables in the Energy Sector.Highly motivated good problem solver with high focus  on Safety and Quility able to form good relationships with all stakeholders involved

Éanna joined Power Capital in April 2024 with nearly 10 years of experience as a Civil & Structural Engineer, leading projects from planning stage through to construction completion. As a Chartered Engineer, Éanna provides technical engineering design and coordination expertise to Power Capital at feasibility/planning, procurement design and construction stages, ensuring the seamless integration of all aspects of the development, facilitating the successful execution of the project.

Eddie is a qualified urban and rural planner with a focus on Energy, Infrastructure and Minerals projects. He earned his MSc in Planning and Development from Queen’s University Belfast. At Power Capital, Eddie helps guide projects through various stages of the development process, with a particular emphasis on ensuring compliance with planning regulations. Eddie is passionate in the field of renewable energy and is committed in ensuring Ireland reaches its long-term sustainable goals.
